Knapps Castle was the perfect backdrop for Jamie & Blake’s engagement shoot. Perched atop a mountain, the ruins from an old estate overlook beautiful Santa Barbara. Jamie Kidd and Blake Mansfield are a dynamic duo that encompass a beautiful life and business together. Jamie is a full time fashion blogger and Blake is typically the creative eye behind the lens. Together, they get to travel the world creating beautiful memories and content for fashion brands. Completely smitten by one another, they are a match made in heaven!
Sometimes you will encounter a moment in time that is so perfect that you wish you could stay in that moment forever. One of those moments for me was the day that I met Jamie. The fact that we even met is a miracle in itself; so many things had to go exactly the way they did for us to cross paths and it is something I think about often. Was it luck? Was it fate? Was it the universe working it’s magic to push us together? Whatever it was, I will be forever thankful. All it took was one smile; Jamie ran past me and looked back at me with this infectious smile, this intriguing smile, this smile that would have haunted me had I not followed and made sure I got to know the woman behind it. I knew from the day that I had met Jamie, that no matter what happened in my life, I wanted her to be a part of it. A year later, on the same day that we had met, I proposed to Jamie and she said ‘Yes’.
